ブラジル・サンパウロで1980年代から壁画を描き、同国のグラフィティ黎明期を担ってきたアーティスト。コルデル文学や民間伝承、木版画の表現に、パンク、スケートボード、ヒップホップなどの都市文化を重ねています。力強く簡潔な線で人物や動物を描き、ブラジル独自の視覚表現を築いています。
 

​Paul Cesar Silva, known as Speto, is based in São Paulo, Brazil. He has been painting murals since the 1980s and contributed significantly to the country's early graffiti scene. His work combines the folkloric aesthetics of cordel literature, and woodcut imager with urban influences such as punk, skateboarding, and hip-hop. SPETO has developed a distinctive visual language deeply rooted in Brazilian culture, characterized by bold, minimalist lines and expressive depictions of figures and animals.
